I specialize in providing comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, with the goal of gaining a greater understanding of the student's unique learning profile. These evaluations assess cognitive strengths and vulnerabilities, academic achievement in reading, writing, and math, as well as behavioral and social-emotional functioning. They also address specific concerns such as learning disorders (e.g., dyslexia), ADHD, difficulties in one or more academic areas, challenges with focus, work completion, time management, and general school-related frustration. My goal is to provide a clear picture of each student's individual needs, enabling the development of targeted strategies for academic success and overall well-being.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Master's degree in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After spending a few years in the corporate sector, I discovered my true passion lay in helping others and working with children. This led me to pursue a Master's and Specialist degree in School Psychology from Winthrop University. I then spent four years with Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, where I focused on conducting psychoeducational evaluations for a culturally diverse group of students with a wide range of academic abilities and challenges. Before establishing my own practice in 2022, I worked with Sloan Academics for two years, further honing my skills in psychoeducational assessments.
